Lading Manager Lite Upgrade

 

The current version is 2.60 that was released on November 16, 2009.

 

Upgrading to the latest version is free of charge. However, you must know from which version you are upgrading. The version you are running is listed on the "Help - About" screen from within the Lading Manager Lite software.

 

Please go to the section below that matches the version from which you are upgrading.


Upgrading from Versions 2.20, 2.30, 2.40 and 2.50 ONLY

The upgrade may be downloaded by clicking here. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Close Lading Manager Lite if it is running.

  2. Run the upgrade from the link above.

The upgrade is complete.


Upgrading from Versions 2.00 and 2.10

If you are upgrading on a Windows Vista PC, then please stop here and contact support. There may be some extra steps required to properly upgrade your data files.

 

The upgrade may be downloaded by clicking here. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Close Lading Manager Lite if it is running.

  2. This upgrade requires that the data files be converted to the new database format. The conversion program will run immediately after the installation of the new program files. The conversion program will walk you through the required steps to properly convert the data files. These steps are:

    1. Verify that all new-style and old-style tables are present. Click the button in #1 to perform this task.

    2. Copy data for each table to the new format. Click all buttons in #2, one at a time, and do not click the next button until the current one states "Completed."

    3. Copy the logo files over.

  3. Close the program using the "X" in the upper-right-hand corner.

The upgrade is complete.


Upgrading from All Versions 1.x

It is highly recommended to backup your Lading Manager Lite data (located in the c:\program files\lading manager folder and send them to support. A new installation using the most current software version will be created for you with your existing data.

 

If you would rather upgrade yourself, and are not using Windows Vista, then please follow these instructions. You will need to re-register the software (free of charge) after upgrading.

 

The version 1.x upgrade may be downloaded by clicking here. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Close Lading Manager Lite if it is running.

  2. This upgrade requires that the data files be converted to the new database format. The conversion program will run immediately after the installation of the new program files. The conversion program will walk you through the required steps to properly convert the data files. These steps are:

  3. Close the program using the "X" in the upper-right-hand corner.

  4. Run Lading Manager Lite. A new icon was placed on your desktop for this version.

  5. If you need to re-register, click Register Now at the top of the screen. If Register Now does not appear at the top, then stop here; you are done.

  6. Read the information on the Start page and click Next.

  7. If you are taken to the Credit Card page:

    1. If you are a registered Lading Manager 1.x user, type in false information (hit the "Dummy Fields" button) on this page. Your update is free.

    2. Press Next.

  8. If you are taken to the Billing page:

    1. Type in valid registration information on this page.

    2. Press Next.

  9. Type in valid registration information on the Registration page.

  10. Press Next.

  11. Type in your current e-mail address.

  12. Select how you want to register. Internet registration requires that your firewall be disabled or changed to allow Lading Manager Lite through. Registration is a two-part process. Transmitting or faxing your registration information completes Part 1.

  13. Read the Finish screen. It is recommended to print an order receipt.

  14. Click Close.

The upgrade is complete.
