Upgrade MSDE 2000 to SQL Server 2005 Express

Standalone versions of the Lading Manager use a runtime version of Microsoft SQL Server. Older installations of Lading Manager shipped with the MSDE 2000, which is based on SQL Server 2000.

If you are using the MSDE 2000, you may want to upgrade as SQL Server 2005 Express is a faster database engine.

If you are unsure of which version of the SQL Server runtime you are using, look for this icon in your system tray (lower right-hand corner). When you place the mouse over it, it should state "MSSQLServer" in the message. If you have this icon, you are running the MSDE 2000. You may also check the "Add/Remove Programs" on the Windows Control Panel to see which version is installed.

A special page on the ALMSys, Inc. website has been created to instruct you on how to upgrade to SQL Server 2005 Express. Click here to go to that site.

Network Workstation-Only Setup (11/02/2009

If you are using the network version of the Lading Manager, download this to facilitate setting up additional network workstations.

If you are using a standalone version of the Lading Manager, DO NOT download this patch.
