Printing Labels

Lading Manager Lite prints three Avery-style labels.

Avery
There are many settings on this page that are used to customize the label. A preview of about what the label will resemble will display on the lower-right of the screen with a light blue background.

Label Print Style
The following Avery styles are supported:
  • 5164. This is a 2-across by 3-down format. It will print portrait on your printer.
  • 5165. This is one big label. It will print landscape on your printer.
  • 5168. This is a 2-across by 2-down format. It will print landscape on your printer.
  • 5126. This is a 1-across by 1-down format. It will print portrait on your printer.
  • 4"x6" Roll Labels. This will print 1 label at a time and is intended for roll label printers.

    Include Origin Return Address
The origin's name will always print. The address is optional.

    Include Origin Phone Number?
This will print as the last line of the return address.

    Include Consignee Phone Number?
This will print as the last line of the consignee address.

    Print the Consignee "Attn:" Line?
This will print after the consignee address with a blank line in between.

    Print the Carrier's Name?
This will print in the lower, left-hand corner of the label.

    Print the Ref. No./PO?
This will print in the lower, left-hand corner of the label. This reference may be either from the Origin or the Consignee.

    Print Logo?
This will print in the upper, right-hand corner of the label. It will remain a one-inch by one-inch logo as on the bill.

    Print Quantity?
This will print in the lower, right-hand corner of the label. There are two formats for quantity. One will simply print "Qty: nn" and the other will print "nn of nn".

Use the Quantity: field next to the selection box to set the total quantity. This field is prefilled from the number of units on the bill. You may change it as desired.

Use the starting # field for the "nn of nn" format to tell the program the number of which to start.

If you have a partially used sheet of labels, you may tell the program how many labels to skip before printing on the first page only. Labels are created left to right, top to bottom. If you were to skip four labels on the Avery type 5164, then printing would start on the third row down, left label.

    How many to Print?
You may create labels based on the Print Quantity? information or based on the fields listed here. If you are printing labels based on the Print Quantity? fields, then you must press the Calculate Qty for You button in order to determine the final tally of labels to print. Do not press the Calc Results Based on Qty button in this case.

If you are printing labels without using the Print Quantity? fields, then you will need to fill out the Count In ... and Quantity: fields and then press the Calc Results Based on Qty button.

    Generating the Labels
Once the data listed in the Resulting in ... area is accurate, then press the Print Pallet Labels button to create the labels.

    Special Instructions
For Avery-style labels, you can specify a special instruction to print on the labels instead of the reference number, carrier name, and quantity fields. Lading Manager Lite will select the correct label template, based on whether or not there are special instructions specified.

The special instruction must already exist before it may be assigned to a label. Use the Special Instructions Maintenance screen to create the text. Then, click the Look-Up button to assign it to the label. To clear the special instructions, click the Clear button.
